IT is finals day on Sunday at Cargo.
Another three games up for decision. The incentive for the winners is a place in next weekend’s grand final day in Grenfell.
The big final tomorrow has minor premiers, Eugowra, after going down to Cargo, playing Canowindra, who advanced after they defeated Peak Hill. Another big clash is expected which will see the winner play Cargo in the Cup decider.
Canowindra, coming off a good win over Peak Hill and an extra day to prepare, should be all fit and ready to go, while the Eagles would be battered and bruised after their clash with Cargo.
They are two evenly matched sides just going on their clashes this season, which Eugowra won 20-14 and 16-12, which makes this another to thrill in front of what should be a bumper crowd at Cargo.
Canowindra are confident of a good showing and looked good last week, while it remains to be seen if Eugowra can come back as the young Tigers will test them for the whole game.
It should be a fitting final between two evenly matched sides. There will be plenty of talent on show - youth in the Tigers versus the talent and experience of the Eagles.
After watching both sides play last week and not knowing how Eugowra came out of last Sunday’s loss to Cargo, I have to say the Tigers might win and go on to play Cargo next week in Grenfell for 2014 Cup glory.
The first grade final kicks off at 2pm tomorrow.
At 12.40pm the Youth League final has Peak Hill going up against Canowindra. This, too, should be another top quality game, both sides evenly matched, but I think minor premiers Peak Hill will hit back for a shot at another title in 2014.
League Tag starts a big day of football at 11.30am, when Canowindra play Eugowra. The winner will play Condobolin in the grand final.
Congratulations go to Canowindra Tigers, who have three sides playing in the finals tomorrow. All three have a big chance of featuring in next week’s deciders.
Major semi-final winners Cargo (first grade), Grenfell (Youth League) and Condobolin (League Tag) await tomorrow’s results to see who they will meet in the 2014 Woodbridge Cup grand finals.
