Break comes at perfect time for Orange City's second grade side

“THE week off was a blessing in disguise for us.”

Orange City second grade co-coach Anthony Kent said winning the Blowes Clothing Cup minor premiership and earning last weekend off became an unexpected positive, giving his injury-riddled side a chance to heal.

“We had plenty of people carrying little injuries, who are fresh now,” Kent said.

The Lions travel to Dubbo to take on the Kangaroos in tomorrow’s major semi-final one of just three sides, along with Bathurst Bulldogs and Orange Emus, to seriously push Orange City this season.

“We only beat them by a couple of points last time,” Kent said. “They played tough footy last weekend (in the qualifying final). If we can string together some good attacking phase play we’ll be very tough to handle.”

The reserve grade fixture kicks off at 1.30pm at No.1 Oval.
