Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Blues Brothers and Bananas in Pyjamas were just some of the costumes on show as drivers stopped for the first time on their trip from Sydney to Western Australia.
Anson Street School principal Gary Brotherton welcomed the participants and he and other school staff provided breakfast for more than 100 drivers and participants.
“It’s great that Orange is their first point of call on their trip. Variety has been a big supporter of this school for more than 30 years so it was great to give a little bit back,” he said.
Drivers and participants took a tour of the school, before heading off on the second leg of the trip to Condobolin.
