The young team celebrated their success on Tuesday night at the Orange Tenpin Bowl by presenting the championship medals.
The national event was held in April but the prizess only recently arrived, so the nine gold, four silver and five bronze medals were handed out.
On top of that, Nick Flannery was presented with a silver medal for his efforts in helping the NSW Southern team to second in the President’s Shield, an inter-state competition.
Representative duties haven’t finished for some of the Orange bowlers.
Nick Flannery, Sam Flannery, Micaylah Downey, Harry Betts and Joel Patey have all been selected in the NSW junior team to contest the East Coast Championships in September.
Downey and the Flannery boys recently rolled off for places in the NSW team, while Betts and Patey were given exemptions and were straight into the representative side.
The 2014 East Coast Championships will be held at Toowoomba from September 20 to 22.
Nick Flannery will be hoping to earn a place in another representative side this weekend.
He, and fellow Orange bowlers Georgina Clark and Alicia McFadden, will roll off for places in the NSW Southern junior team to compete at the 2015 Australian Junior Championships.
Flannery was part of the team which won silver at this year’s event and is keen to return to the side for a shot at claiming gold in 2015 President’s Shield.
This will be the first time Clark and McFadden have rolled off for the Southern NSW team but Orange Junior Warriors coach Jason Brown is confident they have what it takes.
“The girls can actually do it as long as they don’t get overawed,” Brown explained.
“If they handle the pressure and concentrate on each game, I believe they can make it.”
The roll off will involve juniors bowling eight games at Bateau Bay on Saturday and a further eight at Lidcombe’s Tenpin City on Sunday.
The top five boys and top five girls on overall scratch pinfall after the 16 games will earn places in the NSW Southern team. The next five boys and five girls will make the training squad and could be called up to the team if someone pulls out or is injured.
The 2015 Australian Junior Championships will be held in April next year.
