He was pleased to announce five central west men’s sheds would receive funding under the Australian government’s national shed development program.
“Men’s sheds are such a fantastic concept. It’s about getting together, doing practical things and undertaking projects that benefit the community, while keeping an eye on our mates,” Mr Cobb said.
“In Calare, the men’s sheds in Cargo, Manildra, Yeoval, Portland and Cudal and District have all been selected to receive funding, ranging in amounts from $1500 to $6250.”
Mr Cobb said the sheds were five of the 102 organisations from across Australia selected for funding in round seven of the program.
“I congratulate Cargo, Manildra, Yeoval, Portland, and Cudal and District men’s sheds, and look forward to seeing what the men will do with these well-deserved funds,” he said.
