Orange City hooker Josh Tremain was beaming after his four-try performance led the Lions to a 113-point victory over the Mudgee Wombats in their Blowes Clothing Cup clash on Saturday.
Heading into the game wary of the Wombats after their first win of the season over Narromine last weekend the Lions ran in 18 tries to one in cold conditions at Pride Park to secure a 118-5 victory.
Buoyed by a 12-3 penalty count in their favour the Lions systematically dismantled Mudgee, who fielded a side with just five players who had not played at least one lower grade game already.
Orange City looked a much sharper attacking unit with the return of 2013 premiership winning five-eighth Michael Sparks and the rout began just two minutes into the game when flanker Duncan Young crossed in the left corner after a quick tap.
Things went from bad to worse very quickly for Mudgee afterwards as Orange City ran in eight more tries in the first half to lead 57-5 at the break.
Young bagged his double, Lions' outside centre Jake Davis crossed twice as did winger Cameron Cole.
Nick Quinn, Sam Powell and Tremain all bagged one each in the first period as well, with inside Mesui Lemoto nailing six of his nine conversion attempts.

Mudgee gained no reprieve after the break as the Lions piled on another 61 unanswered points in the second stanza.
Flanker Gus Brotherton scored his first in the 42nd minute and Powell grabbed his second in the 47th.
A minute later Tremain momentarily forget his role as a front rower, scoring a 60-metre runaway try after breaking the line from the restart.
Frustration got the better of the Wombats as prop Dave Birch and second rower Rupert Sheridan were both sin-binned in the final half hour, for punching and repeated infringments respectively, and Orange City took full advantage, running in six more tries.
In the final 30 minutes Tremain scored twice more, with Brotherton, Davis, Cole and Mitch Pearce all crossing the stripe as well.
Lemoto's radar was still well and truly on, with the sharp shooter nailing eight of nine conversion attempts in the second half.
"It was a really good win," Tremain said.
"Sparksy coming back freed up Mesui in the centres, and it had a big influence on us. We were seriously up for the game, we're trying to head into the finals at a peak really.
"Our main focus was to free ourselves up and score some points, and we obviously didn't really have to defend that much because our attack was so good.
"We kept our structure well, and our ball handling was very good in the wet."
Mudgee skipper Dave Jessiman cut a dejected figure after the loss.
"We lost a lot of players who were away, or hurt," he said.
"Credit to the guys here today there was only a couple of guys who didn't play reserves as well. They put their hearts into, and we can't ask much more even if the scoreline is unflattering.
"We'll just forget about it, regroup and look to next weekend. Orange City are a classy side and deserved the win."
