The competition starts at the Orange City Centre next Monday, with all funds raised going to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
Photographic sessions will be held between 10am and 1pm from Monday to Sunday.
The competition is for children from birth up to five years of age.
The competition is divided into two categories: section one, which is the most popular child by public vote and section two, which is judged in various age groups by a panel of judges.
Among the supporters of this year’s competition is Frances Dickinson, whose six-year-old daughter Grace was recently diagnosed with a mild form of cerebral palsy.
“Until Grace was diagnosed I didn’t know anything about the work they do [the Cerebral Palsy Alliance],” she said.
“They have been amazing and have provided wonderful support.”
Grace has been taking swimming lessons with teacher Carla Roberts and it has proved beneficial.
“My children have been going in the competition over the last couple of years and it was a great experience,” Ms Roberts said.
Entry costs $12, which includes a 20cm x 15cm colour print of your child.
Age groups for the most popular child by public vote are from 0 to five years.
For section two babies and toddlers can be entered in the 0 - 5 months section, 6 - 17 months section, 18 months to under 3 and 3 - 5 years.
The photographs will be on display at the shopping centre from July 28 to August 3 to enable the public to vote for their favourite photo.
