Brynn Thomas, Grace Gorham, Shaylee Fogarty, Chantell Rhodes and Zoe Theobald will line up in their first major tournament in Sydney this weekend.
Under the watchful eye of Orange PCYC coaches Shani and Eryn Coles, the five gymnasts will compete in the floor, beam, bars and vault events.
They will be able to enjoy individual success in each apparatus, as well as the possibility of an overall award in their divisions.
Thomas, Rhodes and Gorham will contest the level one competition, Fogarty is in the level one prep division, and Theobald will be out to impress in level three.
Eryn Coles is confident her gymnasts will be competitive.
“I reckon they’ll all do well. They’re all pretty good at everything,” she said.
Gorham, Thomas and Rhodes all contested the Dubbo PCYC tournament three weeks ago where they each enjoyed at least one top three finish.
Coles said her young team members were excited about the prospect of competing in their first Country Championships.
The event will be held at the Sydney Gymnastic and Aquatic Centre today and tomorrow.
