Mrs Thorp said she’d like club management to reconsider the shed’s location.
“I don’t want to look at it,” Mrs Thorp said.
“I can’t say it will stop sunlight getting into my yard, but when I look at my view I’ll be looking at a tin shed over my back fence so I’d rather it wasn’t there.”
Mrs Thorp said a large pile of dirt has already been placed at the site in preparation for the shed’s construction.
General manager of Duntryleague Matthew Furze said the development application for the shed was yet to be approved by Orange City Council staff.
“Nobody can suddenly put up a shed, there’s a process around it, everything is going through the right channels “ Mr Furze said.
“We don’t just say stuff everyone.”
Mr Furze said any residents concerned about the shed’s location could voice their concerns via the appropriate channels.
“We’re mindful of our neighbours and we know you’ve got to work with your neighbours,” he said.
Mr Furze said the proposed shed’s location was chosen so it would be in close proximity to the club’s other cart sheds.
He said the dirt near Mrs Thorp’s fence was not dumped there in preparation for the build.
