AROUND 300 hundred athletes, parents, coaches, managers and official guests will converge on the Bathurst campus of Charles Sturt University this Saturday for the Western Region Academy of Sport’s presentation night.
The Academy will celebrate 2011/12 graduating athletes with an ‘A Touch of Class’ presentation evening.
The ties for the guys and pearls for the girls dinner will recognise the athletes’ achievements, hard working members of squad staff and other valuable volunteers.
The evening will culminate with the presentation of major awards, including the CSU school of human movement studies, overall individual and squad athlete of the year and the prestigious chairman’s award.
Olympic equestrian Wyatt Thompson will be guest speaker.
Thompson was a member of the first Olympic equestrian team and was recently inducted into equestrian Australia’s Hall of Fame.
