FRIDAY, 2PM:
ORANGE High School has won its Astley Cup tie against Bathurst High School.
The home side's 52-48 win in this afternoon's athletics competition takes OHS out to an unassailable 429-271 lead ahead of this afternoon's rugby league game.
Orange High will head to Dubbo next week to face Dubbo College, with all three schools still a chance of taking the 2014 title.
FRIDAY, 12.30PM:
ORANGE High's netball side has rammed home their school's advantage over Bathurst High with a crushing 58-20 win today.
The netball win, along with Orange High's earlier basketball victory, have handed the hosts an overall 377-223 lead heading into this afternoon's athletics and rugby league clashes.

ORANGE High School has won this morning's basketball 46-41 to extend their advantage over Bathurst High School.
But, judging by this post on the Bathurst High 'Astley Cup Defence 2014' Facebook page, the visitors won't be going down without a fight.

Day two of the Astley Cup tie between Orange High School and Bathurst High School is shaping up as a tight contest.
This morning's basketball and netball fixtures will prove crucial if Bathurst are to make any headway into Orange's 100-point advantage by day's end.

THURSDAY, 4PM:
ORANGE High School has a 100-point lead going into tomorrow's second day of their Astley Cup tie with Bathurst High.
Bathurst won the boys' football 2-0 to earn a 72-25 points split, however, Orange scored an upset 2-1 victory in the girls' football for 67-33.
This gives Orange a 250-150 overall lead going into tomorrow's action.
Friday's competition will start with the boys' basketball at the Orange PCYC at 9.15am.

Orange High School's girls hockey team has cemented the school's lead over Bathurst High School mid-way through day one of their Astley Cup tie.
An 8-1 victory at the Orange Hockey Centre translated into an 89-11 points win for the hosts, taking their overall lead to an impressive 158-42 after two events.
THURSDAY, 12.30PM:
ORANGE High School has taken the early lead over Bathurst High School in day one of their Astley Cup tie after winning this morning's tennis rubber.
The hosts won 11 sets to five at the Orange Indoor Tennis Centre, handing them an overall points advantage of 69-31.
The girls hockey match is currently being played at the Orange Hockey Centre.

Welcome to our coverage of the 2014 Astley Cup tie between Orange High School and Bathurst High School.
Over the next two days the two schools will compete in a range of sports, with each game counting to an overall total which will determine this year's champion.
We'll be updating this page with scores and photos over the next two days, as well as links to other Astley Cup stories.
Last week Bathurst High won the opening tie of the 2014 competition, their 485-315 point win over Dubbo College putting in them in the box seat to take honours again.
And it seems Bathurst's pretty confident ahead of this morning's trip west on the Mitchell Highway.

The second tie in Orange will get underway this morning, with the tennis starting at 9.15am at Orange Indoor Tennis Centre, before Orange Hockey Centre hosts a much-anticipated girls’ hockey clash at 11.30am.
The all-important Mulvey Cup debate starts at 1pm, at Orange High, before the girls’ and boys’ football this afternoon.
On Friday, the basketball and netball kick off at 9.15am and 10.45am respectively, at Orange PCYC, before the action returns to Orange High for the athletics at 12.15pm.
At 2.30pm, Orange High’s resurgent open rugby league team takes on Bathurst in a game doubling as the Western School Sport Association final.
