ON THE ROADS: Council's road work for the week

Road upgrades

WORK on the intersection at the corner of Hill and Margaret streets is reaching its final stages.

The former dip in the road has been removed and, weather permitting, a new asphalt surface will be laid on the intersection this week.

This week asphalt will also be laid in Cox Avenue,  restoring the road pavement after recent water main renewal work in the street.

In Burrendong Way the stabilisation of the subgrade was completed last week.

This week the next section of Burrendong Way south of the council boundary will be sealed.

Roads maintenance

Recent rain is leaving its mark on damaged road surfaces around Orange, with potholes appearing.

Council staff have already responded to requests for maintenance work across the city including pothole patching on Berillee Road, Forest Road and Shiralee Road.

Concrete paths

Contractors will be continuing this week pouring concrete for a shared path from Spring Street to McLachlan Street.

Work on the concrete footpath in Coronation Drive continued last week between Pirinari Place and Kooronga Avenue.
