A 51-YEAR-OLD man from Orange will be issued with an infringement notice for negligent driving after the semi-trailer he was driving hit two stationary cars on the Escort Way, one kilometre west of Peabody Road, at around 8.49am on Thursday.
The east-bound driver's vision is believed to have been temporarily obscured when he hit the cars which had been stopped by road workers who were managing traffic conditions in the area while tree-lopping work was underway.
The 52-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Orange hospital with a lower back injury. He is in a stable condition.
Roads and Maritime Services representatives inspected the scene and Work Cover have also been advised of the incident.
THURSDAY, 11AM:
A TRUCK collided with a car on the Escort Way, near Peabody Road, at around 9am.
Emergency services from Orange and Molong attended the scene with ambulance officers treating two of the vehicles' occupants at the scene before transporting them to hospital.
Both men are in a stable condition.
