As per usual, let's kick off with a look at today's weather.
So just for something different, today's going to be cold.
Weatherzone is predicting a maximum of 7 degrees, with a low of 1 degrees. So make sure you rug up if you plan on leaving the warmth of your bed/couch.
It'll be a little bit warmer down the Great Western Highway in Bathurst, who are expecting a top of 10 and a low of 1, while in Dubbo, they're the pick of the bunch with a top temp of 13 degrees, and a low of 5.
7.15am: The happiest of birthdays to anyone born on June 16, the 167th day of the year.
You'll be happy to know that you share the day with legendary rapper Tupac Shakur.
Also known as 2Pac, he became renowned as a legendary rap artist after selling over 75 million albums, and was ranked by Rolling Stone as the 86th greatest artist of all time.
He died at the tender age of 25, far before his time.
On the sporting front, legendary golfer Phil Mickelson turns 43 today.
If you're having a birthday tomorrow, or any day this week, we'd love to hear from you and share it with our readers. Simply email your photo, name and age to luke.schuyler@fairfaxmedia.com.au
7.30am: Good old Mondays.
Our most hated day of the week (So long until the weekend!).
While it may be unpopular today, it's also been inspiration to some of the most catchy songs of all time.
Blue Monday's New Order, Manic Monday by the Bangles and Monday Monday by the Mamas and Papas are a few to spring to mind.
However, the most recognised song depicting our hatred for Monday is titled something very similar - I Don't Like Mondays by the Boomtown Rats.
So to help us beat the Monday blues, let's tap along...
7.40am: Now some more interesting and whacky facts to help us beat the Monday blues.
According to our grand friend Google, most people do not smile on a Monday until 11.16am.
The best ways to overcome hatred towards Monday are considered being watching TV, sex, online shopping, chocolate and cosmetics buying, as well as vacation planning.
On average, each person will complain about being at work for an average of 12 minutes, while 50 per cent of us arrive late for work after the weekend.
In even better news for our bosses, staff ensure on average, only 3.5 hours of maximum productivity during Mondays.
The one positive it seems for Monday's, is it's the best day to buy a cheap car.
Statistics reveal the majority of sales are made on weekends and sellers expect less successful sales on Monday, and as a result are more willing to make discounts.
So if you're thinking of buying some new wheels, today may just be your lucky day.
7.45am: According to Australia's Aria charts, Aussie hip-hop band Justice Crew still have the number one song in the country with Que Sera.
Hot on their heels are Am I Wrong? by Nico and Vinz and Waves by Mr Probz.
All awful if you ask me.
Possibly the best song in the top 50 is a new entry by Linkin Park called Final Masquerade.
Check it out.
In the albums section, The Amity Affliction's ripping album Let the Ocean Take me holds down top spot.
I'd love to play you a song from it, but i'm not sure my boss would like it.
So instead here's a song from Coldplay's Ghost Stories, which is ranked number four.
Enjoy.
8am: Now let's check out what's making news on the local front.
It's no laughing matter. Boris the Clown has gone missing.
As Moscow Circus rolls into town, this three-metre tall blow up clown was stolen from Gardiner Road.
Circus general manager Greg Hall said the abduction was not a publicity stunt and the clown had been stolen previously.
Meanwhile, Refugee Week is not just an opportunity to celebrate Australia's diversity.
For one of Orange's Sudanese refugees, it's also a time to reflect on his past.
Tong Mel Kon has lived in Orange for the past five years with his wife and six children after fleeing Egypt from Sudan during the conflict between the northern and southern tribes.
8.15am: Now you're up-to-date with the local news, let's take a look at what's making news around the world.
Australia is now the seventh biggest buyer of major arms in the world.
Australia buys 10 per cent of all American weapons exports.
Figures from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) show Australian imports of major arms jumped by 83 per cent in the five years to 2013.
And in an alarming result, a survey has revealed that the gap between Australia's richest and poorest is widening.
The Oxfam survey also revealed the most affluent are not paying enough tax and found the wealthiest nine people in Australia have a fortune that equates to the bottom 20 per cent of the country.
8.30am: Now to some local sport.
Group 10 reigning champs Orange CYMS have snatched defeat from the hands of victory in yesterday's clash with St Pat's.
Mick Sullivan's men let St Pat's score two tries in the final three minutes to snatch a miraculous victory.
In Premier League Hockey action, Confederates finally cracked it for their first win.
And weren't the team happy. Coach Mark Pengilly said the girls 'celebrated like we'd won the grand final' after a 2-1 win against Dubbo.
8.45am: In national sport, it's hard to go past the world's biggest sporting event, the Soccer World Cup in Brazil.
After a gallant loss to Chile in their first round, Aussie defender Matthew Spiranovic says the Socceroos' back four must perform better if they're to upset The Netherlands.
Spiranovic, the most experienced international in Australia’s relatively untried defence, is adamant the rearguard cannot repeat the same mistakes in Wednesday’s clash against The Netherlands and in their final group clash with Spain.
8.50am: Still on the soccer, we Aussies are a passionate and sometimes silly bunch when it comes to our sport.
You want proof? Have a loot at this poll.
Bookmakers rate us a 2500/1 chance of winning the World Cup.
But who cares about that right? Amazingly one in nine Aussies not only believe we CAN win the World Cup, but they believe we WILL win the World Cup.
I've heard of avid and optimistic fans, but come on, let's be realistic.
8.55am: Now to the polls.
The Crossing family property at Panuara is likely to be halved in size if the state government's bold $150m proposal to build a dam at Needles Gap goes ahead.
But grazier Ben Crossing isn't worried, he doubts the plan to dam Belubula River will go ahead.
9am: That's it from me today folks.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday, don't forget to check back tomorrow when we'll do it all again.
Take care and don't forget....
