At 2.30am on Saturday three men of Aboriginal appearance, one armed with a machete, another with a sword, knocked on the front door of the east Orange house, asking for drugs.
The 17-year-old male and female occupants of the house answered the door, but refused to let the men in, so they kicked in the front door and back doors of the property and again demanded drugs and money.
Once inside the house the three men stole a pink mobile phone before leaving the premises.
The two victims have not yet given statements to the police and have refused to assist police in their inquiries.
A police investigation is underway and a forensic team will examine the scene.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Orange police or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
