ORANGE Hawks captain-coach Tim Mortimer was a proud man at Wade Park on Sunday after his side's remarkable 22-20 win over Bathurst St Pat's.

Trailing 20-nil at half-time the two blues rallied in the second period to secure the two Group points.

Mortimer credited greater communication among his team as the main reason for the stirring fightback.

St Pat's mentor Kurt Hancock was extremely disappointed after full time, and said a poor week of training was behind his side's listless second-half performance.
