ONE lucky Orange woman must be finding it hard to wipe the smile off her face after learning she’d won $1 million in last week’s Lotto draw.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket in last Wednesday night’s draw from Nextra Orange in the Orange City Centre and was given the good news by a NSW Lotteries official on Thursday morning.
According to the spokesperson for NSW Lotteries the woman “screamed with delight” when she was told she’d become the state’s newest millionaire, having not watched the draw on television.
“Please tell me this is true. You’ve got no idea what this means for me,” she said.
“I’ve been playing those numbers for decades. I always knew this was going to happen.
“I cannot believe this, it’s just so exciting.”
The woman plans to use the money to buy a family home and fund her retirement.
Paul Blunden, who owns Nextra with his wife Maureen, said he’d sold plenty of winning tickets over the 15 years he’d owned the newsagency, but he’d never sold a ticket that’s paid $1 million to its owner.
“I thinks it’s wonderful, it’s great,” Mr Blunden said.
While the winner’s name remains anonymous, Mr Blunden thinks he know the winner’s identity.
“I’m pretty sure I remember selling the ticket to her,” he said.
There were two entries that won a first division prize in Wednesday Lotto and the other winning entry was purchased in Queensland.
The winning numbers in draw 3347 on May 14 were 3, 20, 5, 9, 13 and 27 with the supplementary numbers 25 and 44.
