Leanne Robyn Kennewell, of Sampson Street, ended her friendship with another woman when she punched her in the face on August 31 last year.
Though she told police she did not hit the victim hard.
She was fined $500 for the hit in Orange Local Court on Thursday.
At about 11.30pm, the victim had been drinking raspberry and vodka drinks at the Royal and had been dancing on the dance floor for about an hour and 15 minutes.
Police facts said the victim was “shouldered” by Kennewell but did not take too much notice because she thought the 32-year-old had simply lost her footing and accidentally bumped her because the dance floor was “quite crowded”.
But then Kennewell punched the woman in the face, near her left eye which caused the woman to run to the bathroom crying.
Police arrested Kennewell days later and told her of the bruising and swelling she had left on the victim’s face.
Kennewell said she had given the woman warning.
“I asked her to move and she was cheeky so I said move or I’ll hit you, and she said, hit me then, so I punched her pretty much in the cheek,” she told police.
She was charged with common assault.
