About 10.50pm on February 7, paramedics attended a Jilba Street home after police called them to help a man who was suffering the effects of Capsicum spray that was used on him by officers.
The paramedics asked to be escorted into the backyard where the man was located because Bonnie was screaming and hurling abuse.
Eighteen-year-old Bonnie was asked to stop screaming and swearing but refused, so police arrested her.
However, her sister Vivian, 24, tried to stop her sister’s arrest by jumping in front of police.
Officers told her if she did not step aside she would be arrested for hindering police, so she asked police to arrest her and put her in the back of the car with her sister.
The police officers did so and drove as far as Phillip Street with the two girls in the back before the sisters started kicking, punching and screaming at each other.
The girls were then handcuffed and Vivian was forced to wait on the side of the road with officers for a second car to pick her up and take her to the police station.
Bonnie was fined $300 for the offensive language and Vivian was fined $200.
However, that was not the only offence for which Bonnie was in court.
She was given a six-month good behaviour bond for having a bottle of Dettol in her posession, which police believed to be stolen from Chemist Warehouse on March 18.
