TERRY Tilston, whose winning ticket for the Alice Springs and Uluru five-day trip was drawn at the Central Western Daily on Thursday, says she and her husband Grahame are looking forward to their experience.

“We’ve never been to central Australia before, - I can’t believe I’ve won,” she said.

Mrs Tilston submitted just one entry, in the final days of the competition.

“This is the first time I’ve ever won anything,” she said.

Mr and Mrs Tilston will now liaise with Travel World in Orange to work out the dates for their winter break which includes air fares and accommodation to the Red Centre.

“When I saw William and Kate out at the rock [Uluru] on television recently I thought to myself I would really love to go out there and have a look at the scenery, so I was inspired to get my entry in,” she said.

The prize is valued at $3000 and includes flights and accommodation.

Central Western Daily staff would like to thank the hundreds of Orange residents who took the time to submit entries in the competition.
