AUSTRALIAN super-welterweight champion Sam Ah-See will take on Mike Esgandari in his next professional bout in Melbourne next month.

Ah-See made the announcement on Thursday and is predicting he'll be in "the best shape of my career" ahead of his first step back in the ring after claiming the vacant Australian super-welterweight title over Shannon "Shaggy" King via split decision at Orange last February.
"I've heard he goes really hard," Ah-See said, the Esgandari bout set to be held in Melbourne on Wednesday, June 25.
"So I'm a bit nervous ... but I think I'll be in the best shape of my career and I'm hopeful of building a strong network in the states so I can reach my ultimate dream of fighting over there for a world championship in the future."
Assisting Ah-See in his bid for world domination will be his work with former Australian heavyweight contender Justin Fortune in Los Angeles this month.
Fortune has over 20 years experience in the industry, training boxing's best including world champions Jeff Fenech, Jeff Harding and Kostya Tszyu and has 29 professional fights under his belt, including the world championship against Lennox Lewis.
Most recently Fortune has been in the camp of multi-division world champion, Manny Pacquiao as his strength and conditioning coach.
Fortune's experience and his unique body conditioning expertise has earned him world recognition in the industry and makes him one of the most sought after trainers in the business.
Ah-See is excited to be taking his boxing internationally to the Fortune Gym in Hollywood, with the undefeated southpaw determined to broaden his boxing horizons to help strengthen his speed and conditioning.

Ah-See's next fight will be shown live on Fox Sports Big Time Boxing.
Esgandari is based in Victoria and will have the home crowd in the palm of his hand as he looks to maintain an undefeated 3-0 record, all by knockout.
Ah-See's Australian super-welterweight crown won't be on the line.
