Securing first place in the under 11s, 12s, 15s, and joint 17s/Open divisions, Dubbo safely dominated the day’s proceedings winning four out of the six competition categories.
With such strong competition, Orange did well to walk away on the day with wins in both the under 13s and under 14s divisions.
Throughout the carnival, representative Orange sides played alongside associations including West Wyalong, Scone, Bathurst, Blayney, Condobolin, Dubbo, Mudgee, Forbes and Parkes.
ONA publicity officer Marion Rouse said the Orange carnival is the perfect opportunity for the girls to prepare their sides for more representative competitions set to come later in the year.
“These representative players can now start getting ready for the quickly approaching rep carnival in Penrith and so on,” Rouse said.
ONA’s regular competition is set to kick-off this Saturday and they encourage people to head down to the PCYC from 9am and have a look.
On the back of this, Rouse invites anyone willing to help the club to volunteer some of their time to assist with anything going on within the association, from coaching to umpiring and the like.
“Anyone with spare time is more than welcome to come down and help the club out,” she said.
