Dave Chippendale will go into this Sunday’s A grade final as the favourite following his 11 and 9 victory over Steve Cassell.

Gavin Hassan will be a threat to the A grade title, however, after he accounted for Matt DeGraaf 2 and 1 in the other semi-final.

Mick Pickett and Craig Sharwood are expected to play out a tight B grade decider after they recorded similar semi-final wins.

Pickett accounted for Rob Koch 5 and 4, while Sharwood beat John Grevink by the same margin.

The C grade final is expected to go down to the wire after two tight semi-finals.

Peter Powles downed Bill Roach 1up, while Jason Watmore defeated Bruce Radburn on the 19th.

Powles will meet Watmore in Sunday’s final.

The Wentworth match play quarter-finals delivered some upsets on Sunday.

In A grade, the all-Williamson match between brothers Mitch and Matt had ninth-seed Matt account for top qualifier Mitch 2 and 1.

In what was expected to be a tight match, Nathan Button easily accounted for Jamie Newman 8 and 7.

Former champions Craig Coles and Steve Bray also moved into the semi-finals with wins over Grant Connor and Jordan Clark respectively.

In A Reserve, Nathan Atkinson, Bob Whitty and Chris Lynch all enjoyed 1up victories over their opponents, while top seed Adam Freeman downed Butch Walker 4 and 2.

Geoff Cook toppled B grade top seed Jack Carroll 2 and 1 in their quarter-final. Doug Westcott, Nick Bolton and Geoff White also enjoyed B grade wins.

In C grade, Frank O’Neil, Doug Mill, Richard Bale and Nick Ellice all won their way into this Sunday’s semi-finals.
