The male teacher who cannot be named due to a suppression order will be sentenced in Orange Local Court in August.
“This person is not permitted on any departmental premises,” a spokesman for Department of Education said.
“He will now be placed on the not to be employed list,” the spokesman said.
The teacher was on duty at an Orange school when arrested by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in September as part of an international investigation into child abuse pornography.
The AFP spokesperson said when they arrested the schoolteacher he had been detected accessing the child abuse pornography from his home computer in Cowra where he was living at the time.
After the teacher was initially charged last year he was granted bail on strict conditions that he was not to have any internet access at his home.
However he was granted permission to use the internet for work purposes only after being placed in an administrative position pending the outcome of the case.
The former teacher has pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to access child pornography and producing, disseminating and possessing child abuse material.
The man is continuing to report three times a week to Cowra police while he remains on bail awaiting his sentence and is not allowed contact with children under the age of 16.
