Winless following the first three rounds, all of which the Warriors played on home lanes in Orange, Brown said he’s hoping to bring some leadership to the side which already boasts veterans Ron Forbes and Ross Southwell.
“It’s my first time bowling this year after a year off from state league and the main reason I wanted to come back and be part of these away rounds was to help with the young guys we’ve got in the team,” Brown said.
“Hopefully I can help them while we’re away and guide them on the lanes.”
Brown will lead a team brimming with youth, with Ron Forbes, Ross Southwell, Mark Holle, Nick Flannery, Dylan McNabb and Jacob French also making the trip.
He said although the Orange team is yet to record a win, taking to the road for tomorrow’s clash with Lidcombe may be a blessing.
“It’s going to be tough away but that might help. It’s our first away game, that fresh start, maybe we can get that upset,” Brown said.
The seventh-placed Warriors tackle the second-placed Cougars tomorrow.
