Bank deposits toys to ward

YOUNG lives were made a little brighter this week when Orange hospital’s children’s ward received a collection of new toys.

There were smiles all round as patients in the ward received the donated toys by the Orange branch of the Commonwealth Bank.

The bank’s donation was part of their centenary celebrations with each branch across Australia committing a gift to help improve the health and well-being of local communities.

Children’s ward manager Ros Sadler was grateful for the bank’s donation.

“It is a great indication of their sense of community and will be very well received,” she said.

It is hoped the toys will help children take their mind of why they are in hospital and hopefully make their stay in hospital happier.

Commonwealth Bank Orange branch manager Liz Rosewarn hopes the toys will help to put smiles on the faces of children who are  ill and require a stay in hospital.

“This is a fantastic initiative that has enabled us to make a difference to our local community,” she said.

“We look forward to another 100 years of supporting the communities in which we operate.”
