A SUNDAY afternoon round of golf will be held as a fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation on Sunday, September 9.
The Duntryleague Golf Club event will be held the day after Orange’s inaugural In the Pink Ball, which aims to raise funds for breast care nurses across Australian communities.
Duntryleague Golf Club general manager Matthew Furze said they organised the event to show support to the women of Orange.
“We thought we’d try and help out as much as we could for a good cause,” he said.
“It’s such a worthy cause, we just felt that we should be involved.”
Mr Furze said the event would be an individual stableford medley with a non-handicap event in conjunction.
McGrath Foundation breast care nurse for Orange Sue Kuter said they offered support to women as they underwent treatment.
“I’m thrilled that they’re [Duntryleague Golf Club] doing something,” she said.
All are welcome to the event with tee-off at noon.
Cost is $35 per person.
