For many of the girls it was their last regatta of the season.

The event limits each rower to one event, so the crews were thrilled to bring home six medals despite the restrictions.

In the year 8 coxed quad scull, Kinross took out the division one title to claim the Janet Freeman Trophy.

Kinross crews were also third in the third division final, and fifth in the second division final.

In the year 9 Quad Scull, the Kinross crew was third in division three.

The year 10 Quad Scull crew was clear winners in the division one final to claim the Margaret Varady Trophy.

Amy Suttor rowed well to finish fifth in the year 10 single scull.

In the schoolgirl double scull event, Meg Forsyth and Elizabeth Bilton produced an excellent win in their heat and followed this up with a strong second place in the final.

In the last event of the day for the Kinross Wolaroi team, the schoolgirl coxed quad scull, the senior girls crew of Madeline Hawthorne, Meg Crouch, Georgina Uttley, Nicola Thomas and Siobahn Herbert produced an outstanding performance to win gold as well as the Union of Boat Race Officials Shield.

Kinross Wolaroi crews qualified for 11 finals from 12 heats contested, in which they were able to win three gold medals, one silver and two bronze, equalling the best results the school has achieved at this regatta since the rowing program began. 

The three gold medals were the most Kinross has won at this event.

In the school’s previous 10 years of competition, the girls have won a total of two major trophies from the event.

In this one regatta Kinross won three of the major trophies.
