Dressage and showjumping entries jump to an all-time high

THE Orange Equestrian Club attracted record numbers for its dressage and showjumping day on Sunday.

The event was held in conjunction with the Orange Pony Club and more than 45 individual dressage tests were ridden along with showjumping rounds.

Riders came from across the region to compete.

“The day was a huge success,” Orange Equestrian Club publicity officer Jes Jonkmans said. “It was fantastic to see so many riders enjoying the great weather and the friendly competition.

“Our membership numbers are growing every week - we are very proud to be able to offer riders in the central west a friendly and fun club irrespective of age and riding ability.”

The club’s next event will be a hacking gymkhana to be held at the Orange Showgrounds on April 27.
