Emus and Randwick players and coaches will run tomorrow’s junior clinic at Endeavour Oval based around fun and enjoying rugby.
Emus first grade mentor Andrew Logan said the clinic shouldn’t be pigeon-holed as just for rugby union players either.
“The clinic will cover a lot of things that can be transferred into both codes,” he said.
“Everyone is welcome. It isn’t just rugby players we want to see, anyone from anyone code can come and have a run around, and the best thing is it’s free.”
The clinic is open to all juniors aged seven to 16, and will be held before Emus’ first trials of the season.
Logan said the chance for juniors to learn from some of the best coaches the Sydney region has to offer is a rarity.
“The Randwick coaches will be helping out a lot with the clinic,” he said.
“They’re great coaches, and we have some very knowledgeable people around Emus as well. It’ll be good for the juniors.
“The main thing is the kids get out there and enjoy it, so we’re giving them the chance to come and kick a footy around for a while and learn a bit about the game.”
The junior clinic kicks off from 11.30am.
