POP ARTS Collective is a dynamic group who are lending their support to promote the Orange Regional Arts Foundation by planning a number of “pop up” events.
The foundation was established in 1984 by a group of residents passionate about encouraging and supporting the arts in the Orange district.
Working with various facets of the arts and cultural community, the foundation has established Orange as a proactive, arts-rich community, financially supporting individuals and groups to enrich the cultural tapestry of Orange.
“This group of people are groundbreaking in their approach to the arts and are keen to share the development with locals,” foundation spokeswoman Kathy Snowball.
POP ARTS Collective member Charlotte Gundry said the group can play an important part in boosting membership and funding for the Orange Regional Arts Foundation.
“We are a group of individuals driven by our own desires and wishes for ‘our’ arts and passion for the arts,” she said.
The first planned event will be held on Friday, March 28 at 84 Peisley Street from 6pm to 10pm, featuring a DJ, food and wine, and chance to mingle.
There will also be a silent auction of artworks, with one of the highlights to be an interior light installation.
Live band The Noise will also perform.
On Saturday morning, March 29, workshops will be held at the same location with street art installations a feature, and a barista on duty.
