ON THE ROADS: Council's road work for the week

Road Construction and Rehabilitation

IT'S been great to some patches of rain around Orange, so we’ll be waiting to see if the falls will interrupt planned road works in the coming week.

Road rehabilitation work has begun on Forest Road between Bennett Lane and Selwood Lane and will continue this week.

Works are continuing on schedule for the pavement upgrade on the western end of the Bypass between Molong road and Forbes Road.

Road Maintenance

Road patching crews have begun asphalt repairs on footpaths in March Street.

Work was also carried out to address surface irregularities on the asphalt surface of the velodrome in Moulder Park.

Road patching activities have continued on the parking lanes in Edward Avenue and Endsleigh Avenue last week.

Crews will be starting work on  parking lanes in Prince Street this week.

Paths and Drainage

City Council crews have completed footpath repairs in Leeds Parade and addressed  various customer requests across the city. 

Concrete kerb and gutter was poured as part of thenorthern bypass road-upgrade at the Forbes Road intersection.

Drainage maintenance activities have begun in Ophir Road.

Council’s contractors have laid asphalt in Endsleigh Avenue as the first step towards replacing the speed hump between Warrendine Street and the Franklin Road rail overpass bridge.
