Mostly, they think big school is hard, while writing your name is "really hard".
Central Western Daily journalists Nicole Kuter, Nick McGrath and Dave Neil have spent the past week visiting the schools who agreed to take part and interviewing a sample of the city's youngest students.
Among the highlights was a group recital of the alphabet and one child's rendition of Humpty Dumpty.
Big school is more difficult then the children were led to believe, but the consensus is the fun bits outweigh the tough bits.
