ORANGE: A LACK of rain has not been all bad news for the region’s vignerons with an intense flavour expected for the 2014 vintage. Charles Sturt University wine maker Justin Byrne said the dry weather had produced smaller sized grapes but the smaller the grape, the higher the intensity of flavour.

CANOWINDRA: A scorching-hot Sunday didn't deter swimmers on Sunday as over fifty, mainly younger swimmers, came to the first Carnival in the 25m format. Swimmers from Cowra, Bathurst City, Parkes, Orange Jets, Blayney, Orange City and Peak Hill all had swimmers in the water.
ORANGE: THE tomatoes are bursting with flavour and colour but just before they were picked an important ritual occurred - the blessing.
