Three ACT teams, under 21s, 19s and 17s, will compete in the HeartKids Cup.
The 19s and 21s will play off against Baulkham Hills (1), Orange (1), Tuggeranong (1) and Canberra (1) in divison one, while the 17s will be vying for the division two title against Orange (2), Baulkham Hills (2), Illawarra SMJ Transport, Tuggeranong (2) and Canberra (2).
ACT 19s coach Kim Symons said all three teams will be using the HeartKids Cup as pre-season hit out.
"The 21s have had a few training runs together, whereas the 17s and 19s haven't had any court time," Symons, who is also the assistant coach of Australian Netball League team the Canberra Darters, explained.
"They're been running through their academy programs, which are all individual based. It'll be good to get the girls out there on the court. The 21s are a good unit, they've got some very good players. Quite a few played for the Darters in 2013, and will again this year. They'll be very competitive.
"My 19s lack a bit of height, so this competition will be a good chance for us to create some combinations and work on our strategy and tactics to stop teams exploiting it. The 17s are the opposite, they're a good, tall timber unit."
All three teams are confident of doing well, Symons said, before conceding the two Baulkham Hills teams will be difficult to beat.
"They're very good teams," she said.
"They'll be our main competition I think. I'm not sure how Orange will fair, but I've heard they have some good players. It isn't really about winning, but it would be nice. We're really hoping this provides us a chance to come together as teams before nationals."
The HeartKids Cup kicks off tomorrow at 1.15pm at Orange PCYC.
