Step inside for tomorrow’s free Come and Try Day at Orange PCYC and you will find there are a huge range of activities on offer for all members of the family.
Since the club moved into the stadium in 2009 its program has expanded into a hub of activities, sports, adult and children’s gymnasiums and music classes.
PCYC acting manager Dave Cleal said all age ranges are catered for at the centre
“We’re encouraging everyone who’s interested to bring their kids,” he said.
“We’re possibly the cheapest gym in Orange.
“Come and see what’s behind the curtains.”
Across the day activities and music events are scheduled to give the community a taste of what is on offer.
From 10am to 10.30am there’s gymnastics followed by boxing and kinda gym (11am to 11.30am), music and futsal (noon to 12.30pm, and 1pm to 1.30pm), trampoline and boxing (2pm to 2.30pm) and gymnastics and trampoline (3pm to 3.30pm).
Activities co-ordinator Shaye Moss said one of the most popular weekly sessions is the mums and bubs boxing class. Held each Tuesday and Thursday the class offers mothers the chance to get fit and make new friends.
“The mothers really seem to enjoy it and the kids just play with toys,” Ms Moss said.
Tomorrow’s open day runs from 10am to 3.30pm and entry is free.
A sausage sizzle will be on offer for a gold coin donation.
