POLICE are calling for help from members of the public to find the man responsible for last month’s unprovoked attack on former Orange man Graeme Wilton who is being treated for life-threatening injuries at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital.

The incident occurred at a caravan park at Mannering Park at 7.30pm on Thursday, December 12 when emergency services were called to Griffith Road where they found 56-year-old Mr Wilton unconscious.
Witnesses told police that a white utility stopped near Mr Wilton while he was on his daily walk and the driver got out and punched him to the head, causing him to fall.
Mr Wilton was initially taken to Wyong Hospital with head injuries however his condition deteriorated and he was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains with life-threatening injuries.
Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command crime manager Detective Inspector David Waddell said police believe the incident was unprovoked.
“Graeme was holidaying on the Central Coast with his wife and was going on his daily walk when he was assaulted,” detective inspector Waddell said.
“His family is distressed and are at a loss as to why anyone would do this to Graeme.
“We believe it was unprovoked however we are appealing for further witnesses to come forward in an attempt to clarify the circumstances and identify and locate the man involved.”
Police have released a photo of a person wanted in relation to the incident.
He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s or early 30s, and approximately 183cm tall with short dark hair.
In the photo he is shown wearing a yellow or green fluorescent shirt and standing near a white Holden utility with a black cover over the rear tray.
