VIDEO: The day the 'Roos silenced the Lions' roar

WE may currently be in the era of the Lion, but back in 2007 the story was a little different.

In the midst of their own terrific run of rugby dominance, the Dubbo Kangaroos completed back-to-back Blowes Clothing Cup premierships with a 26-23 victory over a dogged Orange City Lions at Dubbo's No.1 Oval.

Completing an undefeated season with a gripping grand final win, the Kangaroos set up the victory with a dominant opening 15 minutes pushing the hosts out to a 19-nil lead.

But showing the kind of spirit that would help net the club two undefeated premierships a little down the track, the Lions fought back to eventually go down 26-23 in one of the great Blowes Clothing Cup deciders.
