In the midst of their own terrific run of rugby dominance, the Dubbo Kangaroos completed back-to-back Blowes Clothing Cup premierships with a 26-23 victory over a dogged Orange City Lions at Dubbo's No.1 Oval.
Completing an undefeated season with a gripping grand final win, the Kangaroos set up the victory with a dominant opening 15 minutes pushing the hosts out to a 19-nil lead.
But showing the kind of spirit that would help net the club two undefeated premierships a little down the track, the Lions fought back to eventually go down 26-23 in one of the great Blowes Clothing Cup deciders.
