As part of the LifeStyle Channel series, Mr Moran visits locations in and around Orange
The series’ executive producer Rod Parker said Mr Moran was the driving force behind the shoot.
“This was where he grew up and a place that he spoke about so highly and so often, we couldn’t not come here,” Mr Parker said.
“We wanted to take him back to his roots, to catch up with some old friends and sample some of the best produce that the area is renowned for.”
While in the region Mr Moran visited Egganic at Forest Reefs where he talked to owner Jacquie Steele and cooked Scotch eggs, using fresh produce from the property.
He also visited orchardist Borry Gartrell where he talked about local produce and toured the farm in an old tractor before picking ripe Granny Smiths from the trees and cooking an upside down apple tart.
On day three of his time in the region, Mr Moran visited Mandagery Creek venison farm.
Before cooking a venison and mushroom dish, tonight’s episode shows him meeting up with his old friend and his former apprentice Tony Worland, who owns Millthorpe’s Tonic restaurant, to forage for wild mushrooms.
The episode will screen on Foxtel at 8.30pm.
