A 13-year-old girl woke up one morning to her Facebook page full of vicious rumours about her life.
The girl has been bullied relentlessly for the last 18 months, according to her mother but the main problem is it is no longer contained within the school ground.
It follows her home.
There is no escape and her mother is worried she might do something drastic.
The mother spoke about how her child found stories all over Orange Goss about things she allegedly said and did.
She asked not to be named because she thought it would embarrass her daughter and the bullying may become worse.
The mother said her daughter had already started to self harm.
“Unless this type of thing is stopped, someone is going to die,” she said.
The mother said she had banned her child from using Facebook and told her to delete her account, in the last few days because she felt that was the only way she could offer her child solace while she was at home.
Posts on the Orange Goss page were removed when the child’s mother contacted adminstration and threatened to call the police but she fears it is only a temporary solution.
She said this was the third page of this kind she had seen.
“We don’t know who has provided this information or why they are picking on her but it’s got to stop,” she said.
“They usually target kids who are different.”
