POLICE closed a section of Banjo Paterson Way for around 15 hours after establishing a crime scene following a single-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon.
A vehicle heading west on Banjo Paterson Way rolled into a ditch and hit a tree at around 5.30pm, injuring all three of the vehicle’s occupants.
The 25-year-old female passenger sustained serious injuries, including facial injuries, and was treated at the scene before being transported to Orange hospital with the 27-year-old male driver and another male passenger in his 20s.
The woman and one of the male occupants were in a stable condition in Orange hospital yesterday afternoon while the other man was released.
A forensic team examined the scene yesterday morning and Canobolas Local Area Command Inspector Peter Atkins said police had already interviewed witnesses.
“However we’d like anyone who saw the incident to contact Orange police,” he said.
Emergency services including paramedics, police and Fire and Rescue NSW attended the scene.
Homes within the area were left without power for around an hour after the accident.
