TWO men were allegedly beaten by three people with a baseball bat during a home invasion in Glenroi on Monday afternoon.
The trio, a 48-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, burst into the house at about 2.25pm and allegedly stuck one of the residents, a 29-year-old man, on the arm with the baseball bat.
The second resident, a 27-year-old man, was also allegedly hit with the bat.
Paramedics treated one of the men at the scene before transporting him to hospital where he was released a short time later.
Canoabolas Local Area Command Inspector Peter Atkins said the three people were arrested a short time after the incident.
The men were charged with aggravated break and enter and committing an indictable offence in relation to the alleged assaults.
The 25-year-old man was also charged with breaching his bail conditions.
The woman was charged with stealing from a dwelling after she allegedly took a wallet from the house.
The men were due to appear in Orange Local Court yesterday and the woman was granted bail.
Inspector Atkins said this was not a random attack.
“All people were know to each other,” he said.
This is the second home invasion in Glenroi in three days, after an incident in Buna Street on Saturday night.
“Our enquiries suggest that these two incidents are not related,” Inspector Atkins said.
