DUNTRYLEAGUE has dominated its Veterans Championship over the last two days, with men and women members taking out all the major placings.
David McLeod came from behind to win the men’s 36 hole stableford title, scoring 42 points in the final round yesterday to couple his impressive score of 39 on Tuesday.
The total of 81 points was good enough to trump fellow Duntryleague member Gerry Wondrasek, hitting 79 points after consistent rounds of 39 and 40 points.
In the ladies’ championship, Maureen Cook’s first round score of 47 points proved too good to surpass.
Although not as impressive as Tuesday’s round, Cook’s second round score of 38 points and two-round total of 85 was strong enough to better Isabel Weston’s 78 points from two stableford rounds of 39 points.
The veterans round out the championship with a four ball medley today at Duntryleague.
The first group will tee-off at 8.12am.
