ORANGE CYMS captain-coach Mick Sullivan (pictured) will have an operation on his hamstring on Wednesday, October 16, potentially sidelining the three-time premiership-winning halfback for the initial part of 2014.
The operation has a six month recovery period, all but ruling the former NRL player out for the entire pre-season.
Not prepared to have this latest setback force the veteran into retirement, Sullivan said he was keeping positive about the operation and impending recovery.
“I don’t think I’ve laced up my last boot,” Sullivan said.
“I’ll probably miss the early rounds, but that won’t be any different to the last couple of seasons.”
