Police appealed for public assistance following the reported robbery, when the driver claimed he had driven to a property on Canobolas Road and knocked on the door but there was no answer. He told police that when he returned to his vehicle he was accosted by a robber who demanded the pizzas he was carrying and his cash float.
However, following an investigation, police charged the pizza delivery driver with making false representations resulting in a police investigation and steal property as a clerk or servant.
He has been granted conditional bail to appear in Orange Local Court in November.
