THE cutest of cuddly baby animals will take centre stage in a new event at the Canowindra Show from tomorrow.
The two-day show will feature a petting zoo among a huge line-up of events.
Canowindra Show Society president Ashley Bayliss said the 112th annual show would be bigger and better than ever.
“We’ve been improving our show over the last couple of years and we’ve been working hard to get new exhibitors,” she said.
The showground has undergone maintenance with new seating to accommodate more patrons.
Miss Bayliss said this year’s show would also include a DJ tomorrow night and Saturday night, as well as old favourites including arts, crafts and animals
Gates open at 9am tomorrow, with pony club events followed by judging in the produce, cake, quilting, flowers, fine arts and photography sections.
“It’s looks like we’re going to have a good amount of entries,” Miss Bayliss said.
Friday night will finish up with family competition races, live music and fireworks.
Gates open at 7.30am on Saturday, with yard dog trials, team penning and quick shearing.
At noon a new children’s-only event will kick off for a gold coin donation.
“We’ve got kids running races, a treasure hunt and games,” Miss Bayliss said.
Tomorrow’s weather is expected to be sunny with a top of 18 degrees, while Saturday should also be sunny with a maximum of 15.
Entry to the Canowindra Show costs $15 for adults, and $5 for school-age children and pensioners.
A family ticket costs $25 for two adults and unlimited school-age children.
