CHARLES Litchfield and Daniel Donato will get their first taste of representative cricket next Wednesday when Western Zone’s under 17s takes on the St George Cricket Club at Harold Fraser Oval, Carss Park.
The Orange District Cricket Association duo were announced as part of the 13-man squad to travel to Sydney last week, with a trial game against Penrith on Thursday set to follow the St George clash on Wednesday.
The team is made up of four Bathurst players, with Jeremy Judge, Kyle Aubin, Tom Galvin and Brad Glasson all included in the strong squad.
Aside from Orange, Mudgee is the next best represented association with Nick Chapman and James Ford, while Henry Hunt (Grenfell), Jacob McNaught (Cowra), Callen Taylor (West Wyalong), Vince Umbers (Parkes) and William Wolter (Dubbo) in the 13-man unit.
The team heads to Sydney next week for two trial matches before playing at the NSW Country Under 17s carnival at Raymond Terrace from October 25.
There Western Zone will take on North Coast in their first game before clashing with Newcastle and Central North in the final two games of the carnival.
