THE push for Canowindra to have a permanent police presence has increased after break ins at three local businesses.
A petition for a police presence has so far attracted more than 1100 signatures, with residents concerned about crime statistics for their town.
Canobolas Local Area Command superintendent David Driver said he was happy to meet with concerned residents at a meeting on Tuesday.
"There is going to be a community meeting in respect to crime trends and we will give an explanation on how we respond," he said.
