ORANGE City Council has only received eight public submissions regarding a $1.1 million pledge to help keep the Electrolux plant open for the next 10 years.
In July, councillors agreed to give the plant up to $110,000 each year for 10 years if it retains its full 550 strong workforce.
The public had 28 days to comment on the pledge.
Now the exhibition period has closed, councillors will make a final decision at a meeting next month.
Council staff are yet to assess how many submissions are for or against the funding.
See Monday's CWD for an update on further assistance Electrolux is seeking.
