THIS is a sight you will no longer see at Orange Airport from tomorrow.
Until now patients requiring transport by fixed-wing air ambulance have been forced to wait for their flight out in the open with paramedics during rain, snow or hot weather.
The patient in this ambulance earlier today was one of the last to be transferred into the waiting air ambulance plane under these conditions.
Today the Max Hazelton Aero Centre was officially opened, and it will drastically change the airport wait for patients, paramedics and pilots.
To find out how the centre will make a difference to so many lives check out Monday's Central Western Daily.
